Charter-Party and Fixture Support
Commercial support for fixture negotiations, fixture recaps, charter-party forms and other agreed contractual terms.
Kiev Shipping Ltd does not own vessels. We work as experienced independent shipbrokers, searching the international freight market and arranging the chartering of suitable tonnage based on cargo type, quantity, route, laycan, port restrictions and prevailing market conditions.
Commercial Charter-Party Support May Include
Depending on the fixture and the scope agreed with the client:
- preparation and review of fixture recaps
- coordination of the agreed charter-party form
- coordination of principal terms and rider clauses
- negotiation of freight, deadfreight and payment terms
- coordination of laytime, demurrage and despatch provisions
- negotiation of loading and discharging terms
- coordination of notice-of-readiness requirements
- coordination of bills of lading and letters of indemnity
- brokerage commission clauses
- governing-law and arbitration provisions
- war-risk and sanctions clauses
- communication among charterers, owners and brokers

GENCON
For general, breakbulk and other suitable cargo fixtures, GENCON 2022, GENCON 1994 or another charter-party form agreed by the contractual principals may be used, depending on the cargo, vessel, route and specific fixture requirements.
SYNACOMEX 2000
For grain cargoes, SYNACOMEX 2000 may be used as the contractual basis for voyage chartering, depending on the cargo, route and vessel, and subject to agreement between the contractual principals.
Our Role as Shipbrokers
As shipbrokers, we coordinate commercial fixture terms and communication among the parties. Our involvement and authority are limited to the scope agreed for each fixture.
