Kiev Shipping Ltd was founded on June 2, 2000 by Konstantin Kalnyi, who entered the shipping business in 1998 after working in the gas industry.
For more than 25 years, Kiev Shipping Ltd has worked in ship chartering, maritime brokerage and commercial ship management, with a primary focus on project cargo, breakbulk cargo and dry bulk cargo, as well as liquid bulk and other specialised cargoes.
Through this Asia-focused resource, we assist cargo owners, traders, exporters, importers and freight forwarders with vessel search, freight indications, fixture negotiations, charter-party support and voyage follow-up.

Our role
Kiev Shipping Ltd does not own vessels. We search the international freight market for suitable tonnage and assist clients in negotiating chartering terms for each cargo enquiry.
Our role is practical and commercial: to help clients check the freight market, find suitable tonnage, negotiate fixture terms and provide commercial voyage follow-up from fixture through completion of discharge.

Kiev Shipping Asia is focused on cargo movements from China, South Korea, Japan, India and other Asian countries to Europe, the Mediterranean, the Black Sea, the Baltic Sea, the Red Sea, the Persian Gulf and other international destinations.

Kiev Shipping Ltd does not own vessels and does not provide technical vessel management. Commercial ship management and vessel employment support may be provided under a separate agreement.

What cargo volumes do you handle?
We typically handle cargo enquiries of approximately 3,000–50,000 mt, depending on cargo type, route and vessel availability. Smaller parcels may also be considered subject to suitable tonnage and market conditions. Project and machinery shipments are handled per unit list with dimensions and weights.
Which contract forms do you work with?
Depending on the cargo and trade, voyage fixtures may use GENCON 2022, GENCON 1994 or another charter-party form agreed between the parties. Grain fixtures may also use forms such as SYNACOMEX. We support charter-party negotiations and coordination between the parties.
